Renee Austin

Renee Austin

Yoga Instructor

Renee’s style blends challenging and playful, introspective and warm.

She sees yoga as therapy…physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her theory as both teacher and student are roll out the yoga mat, gain what is amiss. Even when that little something is unknown, it surfaces and settles through the practice.

Music, scent, and touch are integral parts of Renee’s style.  She teaches to connect the mind, body, breath, and spirit. She sprinkles in some lightheartedness and guides to find our best selves on our mat!

Barb Totzke

Barb Totzke

Yoga Instructor

Barb’s current teaching style reflects a complimentary mix of yin & yang – reinforcing a balance of strength & softness, of power & surrender, of challenge & acceptance – always acknowledging that the physical practice is but one small part of the wisdom that is yoga. The mat is a beautiful microcosmic school of life and everybody’s experience is going to be different. It’s a blessing to be part of the journey.

Lauren Margolies

Lauren Margolies

Yoga Instructor

Lauren began practicing yoga in 2003 as a way to increase flexibility, but it became apparent there was much more to be discovered. After years of trying different styles in several studios, she found her deepest connection with a sound-vibration based practice. This approach connected her to the amazing gift of meditation through asana/poses, which led her to explore other forms of meditation & take various workshops and series.

After having two children, as a working mom, the importance of her yoga practice became paramount in helping create harmony in daily life. In 2013, through yoga teacher training at The Dallas Yoga Center, Lauren discovered deeper methods to connect in meditation & restorative yoga, which once again shifted her perspective and practice.

A profound interest in holistic wellness has led her to study Ayurveda, pranayama, the chakra energy system, aromatherapy, yoga nidra & more. She also leads sound-based meditation classes/workshops throughout the city. Lauren’s goal as a teacher is to compassionately guide others to find more balance and peace through yoga/meditation and take what they learn with them off the mat.

Ruth Young

Ruth Young

Yoga Instructor

For years, my exercise regimen consisted of stretching and working out with weights at my local gym. Then one day in 2006, I ventured into the group fitness room at my health club and discovered yoga. I fell in love. At the suggestion of the club’s yoga instructor, I began my yoga teacher training, and I’ve been teaching regularly ever since. It was my regular yoga practice and teaching that helped me to maintain a somewhat even-keel in the face of tremendous personal strife. My greatest pleasure and passion is to help others discover the multitude of health benefits – physical, mental and spiritual – from the regular practice of yoga.

When you attend one of my classes, you can expect two things to happen: (1) you will sweat;and (2) you will laugh. You may hate me during chair pose but you will love me during savasana! I like to keep it light-hearted because life can be heavy and serious much of the time, and I feel it’s important to balance things out with levity and laughter. I also encourage deep breathing, heavy sighs and blissful moans 😉 My playlists are designed to flow with the rhythm of the music and with your breath. You will work very hard in my class but will be given modifications and opportunities to rest if needed. I will definitely make your fat cry (sweat) and your body quiver as it gets stronger each time you come to your mat!
